The EN54 MX series is mainly used to operate external alarm devices in fire alarms where a EN54-4 certified battery backup is required. The EN54 MX series is also certified according to EN12101-10 for use in smoke hacks. The EN54 MX series has controlled charging which means that batteries are never charged with more than 1-3A (depending on the variant). This prevents the batteries from never overcharging and significantly prolongs their life span. The EN54 MX performs a qualified battery capacity test and notifies when batteries need to be replaced. Mounting: EN54 MX can be mounted to wall. Installation and Deployment: Fixed Installation. Battery types: AGM batteries. Pluggable Battery Boxes: It is not possible to connect the extra battery box.
