The EN54 series is primarily used to operate external alarm devices in fire alarms where an SBF110:8 approved or EN54-4 certified battery backup is required or where the requirements are higher in terms of greater flexibility, more alarm functions, and longer operating times, or when the battery backup needs to handle higher loads.
Remember that the alarm devices must be controllable and monitored for any break in the loop. We therefore recommend that you complement the battery backup with the optional “Fire module 4 outputs”.
